Giò Ponti (1891-1979) pen holder for De Bijenkorf. March 1969green glazed ceramic tile in metal holder tile made by Ceramico Joo in Milanone-off limited edition. The pen holder was a gift for colleagues and some VIPs on the occasion of the opening of the branch of De Bijenkorf in Eindhoven on 18 March 1969 designed by Ponti. The object is not available in retail, and hence rare. The pen holder consists of one of the ceramic tiles Ponti's building is lined with. The colour green was inspired by the Dutch nature and fields.
